Only seven more semesters to go. 12.5% of the way there.
College has been both fun and stressful so far. One of the things I’ve liked (and taken advantage of) is where my free time is - I essentially spent 17 hours a week in classes, which is less than a half time job, and less than in high school. In high school, when I didn’t show up to class, I failed. Or at least felt bad. Sometimes.
In college, though, I get a lot more freedom. After class I get an hour or so to wander down to somewhere to eat, then I can meander around for a while (or do homework) until my next class.
Not very many parties, though. Frankly that’s okay with me. I did get some friends together to put up Christmas lights at my house, which has become an annual get-together. I’ll have some pictures next week. One of the side effects of college is my mobility, which also means that I don’t always have convenient access to cameras etc.
Speaking of Christmas, it’s just around the corner! According to the Christmas Price Index, the cost of Christmas has gone up 7.7% this year. Times are getting tougher, I guess.
That said, at least I have money to afford this Christmas. Not that I spend a lot on gifts, anyway - homemade is more meaningful and cheaper. And better suited to my sense of humor.
