So, the school year is picking up again.
My last one.
Couldn’t help but think of that when I was setting up The Matrix over the weekend… Which reminds me, The Matrix. Last year a student at my school setup a 2×6 grid of monitors, and bolted them to the wall. Trouble was that each one was connected to it’s own machine, and multi-head X is a pain. So over the summer this grid of monitors and the twelve machines that run them sat there collecting dust.

Can you say ramfs?
Can you say 30-minute power outage?
Can you say what happened to the Pillow survival server yesterday?
It was not a fun day. In other news, I don’t have any fun projects to name… Soon, I’ll tell you about httpsrc, but that’s not ready yet.
Until then, I’ll remark that the marketers from Click Security returned from the BlackHat conference… Holy cow, it’s scary what’s happening out there.

It’s been a long month. A busy month too, thankfully. I have lots of things to write about, namely my family vacation and httpsrc, but I have little time to write them.
However, a friend of mine recently asked how I learned to program… This month’s story is my reply to that question.
But first, I will give you a story about great deeds. About armies of light, and soldiers of darkness.

Well, the title says it all, I guess. Now I’m a Junior Cloud Developer at Click Security. Okay, I made the title up, but I still wrote the program that pushes software updates to our devices in the field.
I still have many other projects, though. Not least of which is the One Move Chess app, which is ready to be released to my beta testers. I will do this in around two or three weeks.

If you don’t read this, then it’s because my computers have realized what I’m writing, and have shut me down.
I recently went on NewEgg, and shopped around for some computer parts. Traditionally, every three or four years, my family drops about $1000 on a brand new computer.
I found one that would have two 16 core CPUs, each CPU equipped with 32GB of RAM. All of this would be supported by a 120GB SSD for the fast stuff that has to run, and twin 2TB drives for everything else.

Oh boy! I’m 17!
It’s that really awkward age between 16, when I can drive, and 18, when I can vote. Not entirely sure what I can do now.
But, it was a good birthday. I enjoyed it much. There were many cakes for all involved 🙂
On to what’s been up recently…
First off, I feel I must apologize if the Minecraft server has been a little bit slow recently.

You know what’s really fun? Programming to the Inception theme. Not very effective, but you feel epic while programming.
Anyway, just thought I’d throw out some of my current projects. The big one now is one-move chess.
Normally, online chess games are played between two players who pick each other and play a full game against each other. With One Move Chess, however, the server picks a random chess game from a cloud of games.

I give up. I can’t bring the Italian anywhere, so I’m going to leave him. Back to Oklahoma…
You see, I didn’t mean to get mixed up in the whole drug cartel business. I mean, it was really my parents that got me mixed up in this. Not me. And I didn’t even know them, other than before about thirteen years ago. Three years before this story.
Back then, I was just a fifteen year old lad.

For my Brother. I swear.
_Somewhere on Naboo: _Crunch. A man burst out of the bush, and ducked behind a tree. He gripped one hand over his arm, which had been cut while he fled. With his other hand he dropped a data crystal and pushed it under some leaves with his foot. He heard a speeder slow down behind him, so he stepped out from behind the tree.
The storm troopers were happy to catch their quarry so easily.
